Schatz wins again
No question about it. Donny Schatz is the best sprint car driver in the country.
Schatz won the rain-delayed Knoxville Nationals on Sunday, passing Joey Saldana for the lead with five laps to go in the 40-lap event.
Schatz has won four straight Nationals. He's now one short of Steve Kinser's record five straight Knoxville Nationals titles.
Schatz and the rest of the World of Outlaws will race at River Cities Speedway on Friday night. Hopefully, the weather will give RCS a break. RCS has lost three straight shows to rain and eight for the season.
But Friday's forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a temperature of 75 degrees.
Mark Dobmeier raced in the B main Sunday. He finished 12th but needed to finish fourth or better to advance to the A main.

Just an edit, the feature this year was 40 laps, not 50. There is a rumor that next year will be 50 laps to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Nationals.
Congrats to Donny. He is really something special in a sprint car.
