No Sioux football Gameday in Saturday's Herald.
But that won't stop Wayne's call from appearing on the Web.
- NDSU 24, Youngstown State 13: It took a while, but Bison are playing better.
- Iowa 34, Minnesota 14: After last week's epic win against South Dakota State, do the Gophers really think they're worthy of a bowl game?
- Vikings 31, Seahawks 17: Nice, easy NFL win.
- Sioux Falls 42, Minot State 7: Are NDSU fans still on the Sioux Falls bandwagon now that the NAIA playoffs are underway?
The longer it takes the NCAA to determine Kate Sharkova's eligibility with the Sioux women's basketball team, the more UND will struggle. Apparently, the eligibility question centers on Sharkova's high school years in Belarus. Unfortunately, this issue could drag on for a while.
UND needs an inside presence to help with a demanding early season schedule. Sharkova is 6-foot-5. She's not a scorer, but she will help the Sioux inside.
UND will play at New Mexico State on Monday, then Gonzaga on Wednesday. Gonzaga cruised past Southern Cal, 70-58, the other night. The Zags are 2-1, losing in OT at South Dakota State. New Mexico State was 1-1 heading into its Friday night game.
Back with more Saturday from the UND-Missouri Kansas City men's game at The Betty.
