Sioux linebacker on CFL radar
UND junior linebacker Curtis Dublanko had a great finish to the 2009 season. Dublanko led the Sioux in tackles during their final three games. He had 10 tackles against UC Davis and 10 against Central Arkansas and finished with 59 tackles for the season, ranking him second on the team.
TSN columnist Duane Forde ranks Dublanko No. 4 among Canadian linebackers eligible for the 2010 CFL Draft. The columnist said Dublanko's stock rose considerably in the second half of the season.
The league drafts Canadian players after their junior seasons. Ex-Sioux standout Donovan Alexander was a third-round CFL draft pick after his junior season. He now is a starting cornerback with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Dublanko, who will be one of the anchors on the Sioux defense next season, is a 6-foot, 235-pound linebacker from Thorsby, Alberta.
